Both Ropley and Odiham Crocs have reached the 25/26 Runwick cup final courtesy of being handed walkovers in the semi final.
Ropley were due to face Woking, who they beat 3-0 a week prior in another cup semi final, whereas Odiham were given a passage into the final after Ropleys title rivals Worplesdon fielded ineligible players.
Ropley go in to their first of THREE cup finals currently sitting top of division 5 with 7 wins from 7 games and a host of cup victories, leaving them undefeated this season. A 12-0 mauling of division 4 Ashtead in the last played round of the Runwick cup, will certainly fill the team with a sense of belief as they enter the final.
Their opponents, Odiham Crocs will also believe they are capable of lifting the trophy as their run of league and cup results fare well too. Sitting 2nd in division 3 and a chance at the title is no easy feat in itself.
Odiham will look to Tara and Muna Katupose, who have got a share of 19 goals between them this season. Could they trouble the tight defence of Ropley, who have only conceded 2 in their last 5 outings.
No matter what the weather brings, this weekend will be a cracker of a game at Shawfield road.
